Here is a project we did a while back called “The Q Car” which is a replica of the famous James Bond Austin Martin DB5.
We scanned the scale model Austin Martin DB5 using our whitelight #3dscanner and the processed and cleaned the data in #Geomagic #DesignX from 3D Systems Corporation.
The resultant CAD model was then scaled up to a full sized CAR size then we had it machined from foam on the Large 5 Axis Bray XL CNC with its impressive 4 meter x 4 meter volume work area.
The foam was then used manufacture a fiberglass body panels.
This tribute car was built here in Metro Vancouver, complete with Q’s replica gadgets. The website is located here www.theqcar.com
