New part derived from two parts in Geomagic DesignX from 3D Systems Corporation.
We had a client that wanted to combine two parts to generate a new mount to hold a Brembo Brake on their custom build. Using our Creaform Handyscan and Geomagic Design X made this a snap since we could align the meshes to the desired origins and line up the two scan data sets with ease..
We took the main component here shown in green and needed just the three mounting points in their relative positions! We aligned it to the blue modified part and then trimmed the mesh to only have the data required.
We then used Design X to generate our CAD! Now for a 3D print and a test fit! then to the CNC for this custom truck build!
